The data will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties.

Use of Google Analytics

Nature and Purpose of Data Processing:

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (hereinafter: “Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Due to the activation of IP anonymization on these web pages, however, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide further services associated with website use and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

The purposes of data processing lie in the evaluation of the use of the website and in the compilation of reports on activities on the website. Based on the use of the website and the internet, further associated services are then to be provided.

Legal Basis:
The processing of data is based on the user’s consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Recipients:

The recipient of the data is Google as a processor. For this purpose, we have concluded the corresponding data processing agreement with Google.

Storage Duration:

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for our recording purposes.

Third Country Transfer:

Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. We have also concluded standard data protection clauses with Google for the use of Google Analytics.

Provision Mandatory or Required:

The provision of your personal data is voluntary, based solely on your consent. If you prevent access, this may lead to functional restrictions on the website.

Revocation of Consent:

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: Browser Add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.

In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link. An opt-out cookie will be installed on your device. This will prevent collection by Google Analytics for this website and for this browser in the future as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

We also offer our visitors the option of completely objecting to the storage of cookies when they first visit our website or only allowing cookies from our website itself (first-party cookies). This setting can be updated at any time.

Profiling:

With the help of the tracking tool Google Analytics, the behavior of website visitors can be evaluated and interests analyzed. For this purpose, we create a pseudonymous user profile.

Web Analysis Tool WP–SlimStat

Scope of Processing of Personal Data:

The controller has integrated components of the tool WP–SlimStat from developer Jason Crouse (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-slimstat/) on this website. WP–SlimStat is a web analysis tool. Web analysis is the collection, gathering and evaluation of data about the behavior of visitors to internet pages. A web analysis service collects, among other things, data about which internet page a data subject came from (so-called referrers), which subpages of the internet page were accessed or how often and for what duration a subpage was viewed.

Legal Basis:

Data processing is carried out on the legal basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f (legitimate interest) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). Our legitimate interest consists in the optimization of our online offer and our website.

Nature and Purpose of Data Processing:

Web analysis is predominantly used to optimize an internet page.

The data generated with WP–SlimStat is processed and stored exclusively in Germany by the provider of this website using WP–SlimStat and is therefore subject to strict German and European data protection laws and standards.

Since the privacy of our visitors is particularly important to us, the IP address is anonymized as early as possible in WP–SlimStat and login or device identifiers are converted into a unique key in WP–SlimStat that is not assigned to a person. Any other use, merging with other data or passing on to third parties does not take place through WP–SlimStat.

WP–SlimStat sets a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. What cookies are has already been explained above. With each call to one of the individual pages of this website, which is operated by the controller and on which a WP–SlimStat component has been integrated, the internet browser on the information technology system of the data subject is automatically prompted by the respective WP–SlimStat component to transmit data to WP–SlimStat for marketing and optimization purposes. As part of this technical process, WP–SlimStat receives knowledge of data that is subsequently used to create pseudonymous usage profiles. The usage profiles obtained in this way serve to analyze the surfing behavior of the data subject who has accessed the controller’s website and are evaluated with the aim of improving and optimizing the website. The data collected via the WP–SlimStat component will not be used to identify the data subject without first obtaining a separate and express consent from the data subject. This data will not be merged with personal data or with other data containing the same pseudonym.

Storage Duration:

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for our recording purposes.

Third Country Transfer:
No third country transfer takes place. The data is stored and processed exclusively in Germany on our server or the server of our hosting partner.

Revocation of Consent:

The data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by the e4 TESTIVAL website, as already described above, at any time by means of a corresponding setting of the internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the internet browser used would also prevent WP–SlimStat from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the data subject. In addition, cookies already set by WP–SlimStat can be deleted at any time via the internet browser or other software programs.

Use of Script Libraries (Google Web Fonts)

Nature and Purpose of Data Processing:

In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use “Google Web Fonts” from Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter “Google”) to display fonts on this website.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Legal Basis:

The legal basis for the integration of Google Web Fonts and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Recipients:

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – although currently unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that the operator, in this case Google, collects data.

Storage Duration:

We do not collect any personal data through the integration of Google Web Fonts.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Third Country Transfer:

Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Provision Mandatory or Required:

The provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the correct display of content, standard fonts cannot be enabled.

Revocation of Consent:

The programming language JavaScript is regularly used to display content. You can therefore object to data processing by deactivating the execution of JavaScript in your browser or installing a JavaScript blocker. Please note that this may lead to functional restrictions on the website.

Use of Google Maps

Nature and Purpose of Data Processing:

On this website, we use the offer of Google Maps. Google Maps is operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “Google”). This allows us to show you interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function conveniently.

Further information about data processing by Google can be found in the Google privacy notices. There you can also change your personal privacy settings in the privacy center.

Detailed instructions for managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

Legal Basis:

The legal basis for the integration of Google Maps and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Recipients:

By visiting the website, Google receives information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account.

If you do not wish the assignment in your profile at Google, you must log out of Google before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have a right to object to the formation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this.

Storage Duration:

We do not collect any personal data through the integration of Google Maps.

Third Country Transfer:

Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield: https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Revocation of Consent:

If you do not want Google to collect, process or use data about you via our website, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser settings. In this case, however, you cannot use our website or only to a limited extent.

Provision Mandatory or Required:

The provision of your personal data is voluntary, based solely on your consent. If you prevent access, this may lead to functional restrictions on the website.

Embedded YouTube Videos

Nature and Purpose of Data Processing:

On some of our web pages, we embed YouTube videos. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (hereinafter “YouTube”). When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by YouTube can be found in the provider’s privacy policies. There you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, more at https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework

Legal Basis:

The legal basis for the integration of YouTube and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Recipients:

Calling YouTube automatically triggers a connection to Google.

Storage Duration and Revocation of Consent:

Anyone who has deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program will not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in the browser.

Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Third Country Transfer:

Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Provision Mandatory or Required:

The provision of your personal data is voluntary, based solely on your consent. If you prevent access, this may lead to functional restrictions on the website.

Google AdWords

Nature and Purpose of Data Processing:

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. The operating company of Google AdWords services is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. If you reached our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google AdWords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google.

If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page provided with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.

Legal Basis:

The legal basis for the integration of Google AdWords and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Recipients:

With each visit to our website, personal data, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA. This personal data is stored by Google. Google may pass on this personal data collected via the technical process to third parties.

Our company does not receive any information from Google by means of which the data subject could be identified.

Storage Duration:

These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification.

Third Country Transfer:

Google processes your data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Revocation of Consent:

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example via a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or set your browser so that cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com” are blocked.

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Provision Mandatory or Required:

The provision of your personal data is voluntary, based solely on your consent. If you prevent access, this may lead to functional restrictions on the website.

SSL Encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always corresponds to the current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.

Questions to the Data Protection Officer
